Hello and welcome! The Global Design Project 115 is a theme challenge-Christmas Joy! I hope you find some inspiration in looking at the submissions on the challenge page. Wow, what a great group of cards! To see all the cards in the gallery, go here: GDP #115.
I thought about this technique as I was laying in bed the other night. I have not used the decorative masks for a long time, and I was trying to come up with an idea for a holiday card. The image of the mandala mask came to mind, along with green and sparkle. This is what I came up with!
Not your typical holiday card, right? But the sparkle…the green…its a very pretty card! You’ll need the following:
-Gold stampin glitter
-Emerald Envy reinker
-Embossing paste and knife
-Washi tape (to cover around the circle like in the above picture)
-Basic Black, Emerald Envy and Whisper White cardstock
-Christmas Pines stamp set
-Versamark, heat tool, white embossing powder
-Layering Circle Dies (you don’t have to cut it out of another piece of paper, but I did! I did it on a scrap black piece, then cut it out)
All supplies are pictured at the end of the post for easy shopping! To get the sparkly embossing paste, mix about a tablespoon of paste with 2 drops reinker and about a teaspoon of glitter.
Please leave a comment if you try this! If you are in need of supplies, I’d be happy to help you out. The Year End Clearance Sale is going on right now, while supplies last! Grab your loot at my store here: 101 Projects with Rebecca.
