You are here Home / Deck the Halls 3 ways!
Hello there! I have been playing with the Carols of Christmas bundle quite a bit this past week! A friend had asked me to do some “easy” holiday cards for her to send out, so I made this one:
I decided to make the simple card a little more ornate to see if I could come up with 3 cards that used the same stamp, paper and die set and this was my “medium” level card. It features a little heat embossing with Versamark and Dazzling Diamonds Stampin Glitter, plus some die cuts. The scalloped green piece is from the Seasonal Layers thinlits dies. Bout time I got some use out of it!
Check out the glitter action!
For the “advanced” card, I chose to do a fun folds card. These aren’t hard, just a little time consuming and need more paper. Cut your base cardstock at 4 x 1/4″ the long way to get a 4 x 1/4″ by 11″ base. Score at 2 x 3/4″ and 8 x 1/4″ for the flaps.
The belly band is a strip that goes all the way around the card, but can be shimmied off the card so it can open. I attached the sentiment piece on the top of the band. I also did the Dazzling Diamonds to the sentiment on this card. Here’s the inside, which has some die cut trees.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope this gives you some ideas for what to do with your own Carols of Christmas set! If you need to order it, or any other supplies, head on over to my shop HERE!
