You are here Home / Block Spritzing with Seasonal Layers!
Hello! I am so anxious for fall weather! Its been hot and humid here, and its been quite a pain when you have to walk to meet your kindergartner’s bus stop. So I’m eagerly awaiting nice fall temps, glowing leaves, apples, and all things pumpkin!
I decided to channel my inner fall by using Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze for a block spritzing card! Calypso Coral may not be the most obvious choice for a fall card, but try it! It goes really well with the other two colors.
To do a block spritz, pull out clear block E. Take your Cajun Craze, ink up one side of the block with the ink pad itself. Then, take a Crushed Curry marker and ink up the middle of the block, then take the Calypso Coral ink pad and use the pad to ink up the last third of the block. Grab your Stampin’ Spritzer and give the whole block a few spritzes to get the colors to run a little and bead up. Turn that block upside down and press it firmly onto your cardstock! I LOVE that it gives me a different look each time. Its a very easy way to make a DIY background that you probably won’t see anywhere else! If you feel like you have too much ink on the paper, grab a paper towel and dab-you’ll be able to pull off some of the ink if you do it before it dries completely. Use your heat tool to dry it faster.
I used the Seasonal Layers Thinlits dies to make the leaves, and embellished with copper trim and those gorgeous glitter enamel dots. The thank you came from the stamp set One Big Meaning. I love the big thank you!
