You are here Home / Easy Delightful Daisy cards
Hello and happy July! I gotta be honest…I have not been in the craft room lately! Having summers off (I work for a school as a paraeducator) means I get to spend lots of time with my kiddos! We’ve gone to the zoo (multiple times), the beach, museums, grandparents….it seems like we’re never home! I did want to make a bunch of cards to send to some lovely ladies who requested a catalog, and what better way to make a ton of cards than to get your pretty paper out? The Delightful Daisy paper is awesome for creating simple, yet fun cards. The best part about our patterned paper is that the front and back sides of a particular sheet coordinate really well together.
To make, cut your 12×12 sheet into 3 strips of 4″ by 12″. Then, cut on the long side at 5 x 1/4″ and 10 x 1/2″ to get your layers! You’ll have a small piece left from each strip-make those into 4″ by 1/2″ (one might be a tad over 1/2″, and that’s ok-I’m not sure why that happened with mine, but I’ll take it!). As you can see from my picture, I used the backside of the small strips to accent the layer piece-that’s just the reverse side of the paper! I made a ton of cards from just one pack of this paper! I decided the cards needed something else, so I used the Daisy Delight stamp set and coordinating punch to make those flowers. Aren’t they gorgeous? Coordinating cardstock in Calypso Coral, Tranquil Tide, Night of Navy and Old Olive rounded out this project. Easy peasy! You can stamp a sentiment inside, or just leave it blank!
