You are here Home / Global Design Project-A Color Challenge!
I’m excited to put my card forth for the #GDP077-A Color Challenge! Each month the Global Design Project holds a color challenge, and one lucky person will get the nod to join the GDP team the next month as a featured designer! The color challenge this month isssss….
I chose Calypso Coral as my free choice color! It goes really well with both the Peekaboo Peach and Early Expresso.
Now, I have to admit, I had a really hard time coming up with a card that I was happy with. I started with some emboss resist, but the colors didn’t mesh well for me. I tried triple time stamping next, but it was just “meh.” Then this happened:
I used the Watercolor Wings stamp set and Bold Butterflies Framelits Dies for this set. The background of the biggest butterfly is Peekaboo Peach, wingtips are Calypso Coral, and darker color inside is Early Expresso. The mini butterfly is Calypso Coral with Early Expresso. I then stamped Bermuda Bay and Early Expresso Accents around the card, and finished by cutting out the butterfly with the Bold Butterfly die. You can see that the Whisper White has a butterfly cut out! I’ll do something with that later, I guess. I popped the Whisper White layer out with some dimensionals. Peekaboo Peach made up the other card layer.
I hope you like it! To see my card, and all of the other fabulous entries into this challenge, click here!
