Stitched Shapes “thank you” card

Hey there!  March has come in like a lion here in Michigan-we had some terrific storms last night, complete with thunder and lightening.  I know there were some severe storms around the nation, so hopefully you are safe, wherever you are!

I decided to play with my Stitched Shapes framelits dies!  I purchased them over a month ago and have not used them, gasp!  These are really great to put a little “something” into basic shapes.  I love how it gives the shapes an elegant touch without being overwhelming.  If you’ve been on the fence about getting them, they are worth it!  I pulled out the 3 smallest circles to play with this card, which is a thank you card with a twist!  The All Things Thanks stamp set comes with the traditional “thank you” sentiment, but then gets a bit more targeted with the rest of them.  The stamp I chose says “Thank you for making my birthday happy.”  A great card to send out after a birthday party!  Other stamps highlight baby and wedding.  A great thank you stamp set to have on hand for sure.

I used Very Vanilla and Rich Razzleberry cardstock, and some of the pretty paper from the retired Petals and Posies paper stack (another thing I’ve not opened until today!).  Why am I using retired paper that you can’t get anymore?  Well, I gotta use it for something, right?  This kind of card can lend itself to any paper-it would look really nice with the Blooms and Bliss pretty paper and since that has Rich Razzleberry in it, you can even keep the ink color the same!

I used a 1 inch circle punch, 1 3/8″ circle punch, and some of the Stiched Shapes circles to make the punched out circles.  This is a simple layer card-the Very Vanilla is 5 x 1/4″ by 4″ with Rich Razzleberry sponged around the edges.  Pop out some of the circles by sponging Rich Razzleberry around a few of them, and pop 2-3 out with dimensionals.  Easy peasy.  This is a great card to use up scraps!

I’ve got my boys here today, so I’m off to build with Duplos!  Enjoy the card, and if you have any need of supplies, please check out my shop here!

If you have not yet signed up for my newsletter, head on over here!  You’ll get a FREE fun folds card just for signing up!

Have an inky day!
