Easy Photo Binder Clips

These Easy Photo Binder Clips are super fun and fast to make!  Other than buying the binder clips (I got a pack of 12 from Staples for around $4) I had all the other supplies on hand!  This is a great way to use up pretty paper scraps, odd embellishments, and ends of ribbon.

I used a variety of pretty paper (aka Designer Series Paper-aka DSP…we like our acronyms around here!) to make these.  Since they will be offered at my vendor shows this season, I wanted to do a variety of colors and embellishments.  They are great for wallet size photos and I would think that 4×6 photos would be fine here as well.

Stampin Up Pop of Pink DSP-Stampin' Up! Binder Clips

To make the Easy Photo Binder Clips, cut strips of pretty paper (I used Pop of Pink, Affectionately Yours and Moroccan Designer Series Paper stacks) 1 x 1/4 inch wide by 1 x 7/8 inch long.  I cut them just a teeny bit over the cutting marks.  I found that 1 x 1/4 inch was just a tad too narrow and 1 x 7/8 was a tad too short…so just move them a “tad” bit over the cut line.  Yeah, that’s real descriptive, isn’t it lol.

I used Fast Fuse to adhere the strips to the binder clip.  Just wrap around and use plenty of tape!

For the embellishments, I used a few different things-ribbon, flowers, butterflies and thinlits.  The pretty flower and flourish are from the Flourish Thinlits Dies; the butterfly is a punch.  Use coordinating cardstock and a fine tip glue pen to attach.  Embellish further with pearls if you’d like!
