You are here Home / Pretty Kitty Note Card
Two of the most adorable new sets are Pretty Kitty and Bella and Friends. Who doesn’t like puppies and kittens, especially on a card? The stamps are outlines, so you need to “fill in” the image with watercolors, markers, or pencils. I chose to do a note card size for this one, with a Pretty Kitty peeking out of the garden pot!
The card base is Smoky Slate (7″ by 5″, score at 3.5″)
Whisper White layer 3 x 1/4″ by 4 x 3/4″
So Saffron square 2 x 1/2″ by 2 x 1/4″
Watercolor paper square 2 x 1/4″ by 2″
I used So Saffron, Pink Pirouette, Pool Party and Smoky Slate and Old Olive inks. I used this combo (minus the Old Olive) from a color challenge by Pootles Papercraft. I didn’t get this card entered in time, but it was still worth it!
Sentiment was from the Pretty Kitty Clear mount stamp set. Pink Pirouette “dots” are from the Swirly Birds stamp set. You’ll also need an aqua painter , water, a towel/cloth and some tape!
I used Smoky Slate on the kitty, and started out pretty light. I added the darker colors bit by bit until I reached that little triangle shape on her forehead. Flowers are Pool Party and Pink Pirouette, pot is So Saffron, and leaves are Old Olive.
Isn’t she cute? I’m going to name her Mina. No idea why.
