You are here Home / Cottage Greetings #WWYS50 entry!
I adore the Cottage Greetings stamp set! I noticed a challenge at the weekly challenge blog What Will You Stamp? using this very set, so I decided to play along! Here is my card, using the Cottage Greetings and Tea Shoppe (retired) stamp sets!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Tip Top Taupe base: 5-1/2″ by 8-1/2″
Mint Macaron layer: 5-1/4″ by 4″
Whisper White layer: 5″ by 3-3/4″
English Garden DSP banner: 3-1/4″ by 1-1/2″ after punching
Blushing Bride banner: 3-3/4″ by 1″ after punching
Begin by stamping the teacup stamp onto a spare piece of Whisper White with So Saffron ink. Carefully cut out the 3 individual teacups. Yes, I know the picture shows 4 cut out cups….practice rounds lol.
I did the banner using the English Garden Designer Series paper (tan stripes) and Blushing Bride cardstock. Cut the base DSP 1-1/2″ wide, then use the Banner Triple Punch (a must have, seriously!!) to punch one end. Trim to 3-1/4″ long. Cut the Blushing Bride 1″ wide, stamp the day is wonderful sentiment from Cottage Greetings in Mint Macaron, then trim to 3-3/4″.
Place your teacups on your Whisper White layer where you’d like them. Don’t adhere yet. Using Tip Top Taupe ink and the smaller stem flower from the Cottage Greetings set, stamp 3-4 flowers where the teacup will go, so the cup covers the bases of the flowers. For the falling flowers, use the single flower that’s at the top left of the stamp set. Position your teacup and banner where you want them (don’t tape!), then stamp 3 flowers from the center of the cup heading down.
I used an Aqua Painter to color in the flowers and leaves with Blushing Bride, Wisteria Wonder, and Mint Macaron. I let that dry for a while, then applied the Wink Of Stella in clear to the flowers! I popped out the teacups with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Put your card together, then embellish with some pearls!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this card-if you would like to create your own Cottage Greeting card for submission to the challenge, go here!
