Just a little note!

To say Welcome! to my blog.  I hope you’ll find these projects, tips, and techniques to be helpful and creative!

This was one of the first cards I did when I “re” began my Stampin’ Up! journey.  I had started scrapbooking oh…6 years ago or so, then kids…work…life…

You know how that is.

Last October, I began to get the creative itch again, so I signed up as an independent demonstrator!  When I received the Balloon Celebration stamp set and coordinating punch, I knew what I wanted to do with it!  We had watched the movie UP (the one with the old guy who ties balloons to his house?) and there’s a scene where he floats a note to his wife with a balloon.  So sweet.

Stampin' Up! Balloon Celebration stamp set and balloon punch

What you’ll need:Whisper White card base:  5-1/2″ by 8-1/2″
Soft Sky: 5-1/4″ by 4″
Whisper White: 5″ by 3-3/4″

Use the small cloud stamp from the Balloon Celebration stamp set to “stamp off” some clouds in Pool Party ink.  To “stamp off” means to ink up, stamp, then restamp without putting more ink on the stamp.  See how some of the clouds are paler?

I used Melon Mambo ink, and 2 of the stamps in the Balloon Celebration set, to make a big and small balloon.  Use the coordinating Balloon Punch to punch out.

Take a small 1 inch by 2 inch piece of Whisper White cardstock and roll it into a tube to hang.  I used Bermuda Bay Baker’s Twine to tie the note to the balloons.  Use some Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop out the balloons, and add your sentiment!  The Just a Note is an old stamp from gosh knows where, but Stampin’ Up! has plenty of great sentiments to use!

How cute is that?
